A Land That Time Forgot.

We took the short trip to the border at Phusing/Choam a couple of weeks ago, and spent a good hour or so at the viewpoint overlooking Huai Samran. It is a lovely place, quite hilly, and the view down to the reservoir is quite special. Several interesting Wats in the vicinity, and a nice drive up from Ban Na to the border, including an almost Alpine-like few kms to the viewpoint, where a good coffee and other refreshments are available at the Army-maintained site, which has a small but attractive garden laid out in the last year or so.

Technically, the viewpoint is in Sisaket, but the view is across the Provincial boundary into Surin
