Had 22 people yesterday at CRU for a final push. A corral was built at the east end to hold the guest after delivery so then can be checked out by a veterinarian and given proper inoculations. Water troughs and water lines were installed. There is a few more loads of dirt to be delivered today to make a ramp for the cows to use for enter/exit the truck. I am told the big day is this coming Friday. 50 head of Wagyu beef.

100% Thai government backing. Supported by the Surin Livestock Breeding and Research Center Na Bua Surin Thailand. This project has not cost me a baht per say, maybe a bottle or two of lao khao.:D The barn complex is on the wife land and she is being paid for rent. The cows are all female and for breeding. When sold back to Surin Livestock they have been guaranteed a minimum of 25,000 baht per head. At that price this heard is costing 1,250,000 baht. A special grass for feed is being grown on site and about us for feed and the wife has put in another major order for plantings that comes from her contacts in Kalasin. As for the cows the wife has 5 of these ladies, family.:rolleyes: As for buying steaks, there are shops and restaurants in Surin/Bangkok that sell AND if you go to GPS 14.8379578564, 103.581502375 you can see the mother operation and buy there.

Prepare yourself for the shock. :flushed:

Seriously Feret, put down your thoughts on the Waygu after your taste test.
As Got Lost stated it's currently sold around Surin.

Yeah Feret, I think GL is talking this project and the quality up a bit. He has a vested interest you see.

Reads as though Got Lost could care less as long as the sweet verdant aroma doesn't disturb him.
His wife receives rent on unused land, get free farm animals and is guaranteed a buyer.
No skin off his back while providing his family a vocation in animal husbandry.

Wombie, possibly they'll even be some psilocybin mushrooms ;;grimace;;left over in the pasture after monsoon season for you to gather...at least the ones GL and the villagers haven't hoarded.;;superman;;
