1960 film of Surin Elephant Festival

goodpost
As Asian elephants life-span can average 70 , possibly some of those same elephants from the 1960 video are still hanging about Surin / Ban Tha Klong today.

That would be nice to wonder about on a happy day

On an other note seemed to be quite a few farangs going to the elephant show more than 50 years ago when assuredly Thai appeared kinder and gentler.

Great clip maybe an evening of clips or films from the past of Surin with beer food ECT could be arranged ?

Thanks Mike, I have booked seats in that same grandstand for this year.

I think the posters outside Lobinson's were erected the day or so before the King's death. I seem to remember seeing the posters when I was out hunting for Real Men's potatoes in Tops.
