It is the same word but is pronounced pah som or psom ผสม.
Not an ooo sound as in poo. If you knew this already good for you. I didn't, my cocktail bar usage in Thailand is very low indeed.
Makes it even more intriguing as to the use of it as insemination, when there is an actual Thai word for it.
