Thanks for the chart - useless as a problem solving tool to repair my lawn mower.

Yesterday, the HT (high tension) connecting cap from the coil to the spark plug suffered an internal failure. The brass connecting ring that holds the cap on the spark plug sheared off. No more spark to engine, no more grass cutting.

1. Does it work - No.

2. Did you f**k with it - No, I suspect the new Labrador pup may have been inviolved, if not, put it down to old age.

3. Bin it? NFW! Can't afford to buy a new lawn mower for the sake of an 80 baht connector.

Chart fails to provide a solution. FI!

I fixed it. Bought a new HT connector and fitted it to the HT lead - 80 baht. However, the design was such that there was now insufficient HT lead to allow the connector to fit on the spark plug.

Time for a bodge job. I cut out the brass connector from within the plastic casing and soldered and wired that to the HT lead. Job's a good one.

It worked. The meadow was mowed.
