A word of warning and heads up people. The governor of Surin has passed a new decree stating everyone in Surin MUST wear a face mask when out in public. Until further orders anyone caught out in public not wearing a face mask will be subject to a 20K baht fine. He was out and about and saw many out in public not wearing a face mask and it ticked him off enough to do this. It was even suggested I was told that citizens take pics with their phones and to call the police on the unmasked. Just a heads up so you are not caught out and not aware of this.
