Cheque Books

During the past 12 months, my account with Royal Bank of Scotland International in Jersey has been going through the process of being transferred to Nat West (also in Jersey). Today I received a Nat West cheque book through the post. I thought cheque books were being abolished?

I have today received a letter at my Thai address from NatWest Customer Service Centre. Apparently they have being trying to get in touch with me by text message as part of their messaging service but the message does not appear to have reached me. They go on to point out that their messaging service is not available for international residents.

By the way , payment by check is still accepted by the Internal Revenue Service in the US.
That's how I make my quarterly estimated payments for capital gains on trades. Hate_Computer.
