Concubines with Cameras: Royal Siamese Consorts

an interesting OP, Cent

Not a Chinese looking face in sight! Strange that...

Siam was and has been definitely Thai within the King's court.

I believe a photographic display from that period of shoppe and business owners might decidedly portray an alternative ethnic populist. (JMO)

Thanks Mike. An interesting and goodpost for those expats making domicile in Thai by increasing our awareness as to what Thai is about through the past.

Funny , I used to be attracted to a lady with long, flowing hair down their spine (ie: though the princess' hair was way past her ass actually touching her ankles).
It must have been the 70's. Pre-bondage...or maybe not
Now I'm just attracted to ladies that do not shed long hair all over the house

I think Dara Rasami's palace is open to the public.. outside Chiangmai on the Mae Rim road.

A very interesting article, though, being difficult, I found the academic style off-putting. Especially, the author's use of the word elite as meaning a single individual is not recognised in my dictionary; it is a collective noun, and has no plural form. (The usage here reminds me of the horrible modernism 'a staff', as in 'I am a staff of the hotel'.)

Well, I mustn't be too pedantic!
