Visa 30 day extension

Hi guys,

My visa expires on 29th April, does anyone know where there is an immigration office so I can get the 30 day extension? Is there one in the city or will I need to go to Bangkok? Any info would be great :)

Thanks

Emilie

What visa do you have?

What is the basis of your request for 30 day extension?

I was a little worried when you first posted about being a teacher here. Your circumstances are not clear but it appears they could be troublesome.

Rather not talk about it on an open forum. I have been teaching here for 16 years and know the ins and outs. I am willing to help.

Feel free to send me a private message or email me at burirampieman@gmail.com.

Residents of Surin can use The Immigration Office a Kap Cheong town (which is a straight (but long) road out of Surin after Prasat). Minibuses go there regularly transporting the gambler from Surin to the Cambodian Border casino (Chon Chom).

Would someone from your agency help you with this task??

Agreed Stevo...Emaste should delete all his threads. ..quickly.

It takes only 45 min. to an hour. Easy drive and you can stop across the street and have some coffee or tea at M&D restaurant run by our friend "Got Lost" and his lovely wife. Kap Choeng has a good immigration team and I have found them to be very helpful.

Don't panic , Captain Mainwaring!!!

To work legally in Thailand you need the type of Visa that allows you to work (one example is a "B" (business) Visa and a work permit that stipulates the type of work you intend to do.

It's no secret ! and like everything in LOS, there are always "different ways to skin a cat"

My understanding the op is British and is good for a 30 day visa exempt by land FREE save at least 400 baht and do a hop at Chong Chom.

Exactly the point. The visas required for work cannot be extended by 30 days. The OP is clearly on atourist visa. Add to that the fact she was "sent" here by an agency and...........well..................????

That's very misleading..obviously doesn't have anything but a Tourist Visa and prying eyes to our forum could see some poor 'tourist' locked up until they coughed up the tea money.

To the OP....

If you enjoy teaching and would like to stay in this area then I have a job for you. No strings attached. I will introduce you to a school in Buriram that are looking for a native English speaker.

After the initial introduction you can then decide if it is for you. Correct visas and work permits will be arranged.

Apologies I did not mean to ignore all of your replies. For some reason this part of the forum displays the oldest message first, so when I came to see if I had any responses I thought my post hadn't worked. Duh. Feeling a bit stupid now, especially after posting the same question in a new thread!
I know about the visa/work permit situation don't panic, it is all under control!
