Did Chong Chom border hop, in&out same as always 1500 baht for Cambodia visa 300 baht next window for departure card, Thai immigration did not ask for anything on re-entry.

Still "standard", the 300 Baht said to be the local "fine" for not staying one night in Cambodia.

Please clarify for one who has never done a border run in 14 years in Thailand. If you have to do a border hop, you have to cross over to the other side, remain for 5 minutes of so and then return. The cost to do this is 1500 baht to cross over and 300 baht to return. Correct?

NO. The Cambodia visa is 1500 baht but should be 30 USD and the Khmer Immigration **** scame you for another 300 baht for the U turn. Total of 1800 baht. For a different and scenic are you can go to the Chong Sa Ngam crossing where you only get busted for 1200 baht for a Cambodia visa and they will try and screw you on the 300 baht U turn. The new scam there is the SSKI **** are trying to charge u another 300 baht. In short its 1800 baht and look for it to go up.
