You would appear to be one in a million -or more - Bill. I was not aware that addresses -anywhere in the world -were incorporated in UK passports. Certainly mine is not shown in my latest passport acquired last December.

There is no place for addresses in a UK Passport. However, on the inside back cover of a UK Passport is a place for the names and addresses of two relatives or friends who can be notified in case of emergencies regarding the passport holder.

Maybe his wife's name is written there with the home address and there is some confusion. For a UK diplomatic (blue) passport this is usually replaced with the local embassy/consulate address or Foreign Office address in UK.
