I received this today.

"Dear Mr 'Yorky'

It can take a few days before our analyst confirm anything . as your documents only went to them today it will be next week at the earliest if they come back to us."

I wonder how much these "analysts" are getting paid?

Initially, I assumed there was only one. It now transpires there may be a whole tribe of them.

whatever amount it is, it's probably being calculated by the hour as well....

Does anyone understand why the postal service from a first world country (which I assume UK still is) takes 30 days to reach Thailand (marked as "URGENT") whereas the postal service from Thailand (which I believe is still classified as third world) takes 10 days to reach UK (not marked as "URGENT").

Did they pay for ‘urgent’ ?

I received a letter today from "target - Trusted Trace Professionals". The letter was dated 30th May 2018 and the postmark was 30th May 2018. I have yet to ascertain the reason for the correspondence but it goes to prove that at least some outfits are capable of posting letters from England (Selsey, West Sussex) to arrive in Surin in less than a month.

"If you have received a letter from us, it is most likely because you are a member or beneficiary of a pension scheme, insurance policy, or investment portfolio. As a specialist tracing agency, Target's job is to locate and contact you on behalf of the administrators of these revenue funds. Conversely, your pension company may not need to get in touch with you at this time, and in such a case, Target’s role is merely an administrative exercise to keep member data as accurate as possible."

I received a letter today from Barclays Leicester. It was dated 5 May 2018...exactly 1 month ago. Couldn't find a post date but it came via Salzburg Austria. Useless bastards do not have an email address!

Yes, I gathered that and I shall respond tomorrow (they are contacting me on behalf of Carillion who appear to have a lot on their plate at the present time). My reason for posting in this thread was the time the letter took to reach Thailand.

They certainly have email address(es). But they will not tell you!

I've not had a document sent via Saltzburg yet. Vienna, yes.

It's now been almost three weeks since the analyst(s) took charge of my documents. Would you think that this is a sign that the documents are acceptable? It has taken NWI 8 months to reply in the past (plus one additional month postage).

Like my mail, your analyst has probably replied to you, but the letter is on a world tour. Probably bump into CO-CO en-route ;)

I shut more branches than anyone else in my London department but I believe a few did remain for RBS to screw them up further.

I shut down a RAF base! It was RAF West Raynham in Norfolk and after several months of preparation I was the last person to leave. I handed in the keys to a visiting RAF Policeman from a neighboring station and had to raise and lower the barrier myself to get my car out
